Sam Liccardo is the right choice for California’s 16th Congressional District. He has consistently proven himself as an independent leader who tackles real issues like homelessness, crime, and the high cost of living—issues that matter deeply to Californians. Liccardo’s track record as Mayor of San José speaks volumes: he transformed motels into affordable housing before it became a statewide model, implemented innovative quick-build housing solutions, and effectively reduced street homelessness during his final year in office. He also strengthened San José’s police department, leaving the city with one of the lowest homicide rates among large American cities when he stepped down .

Polling data indicates that voters trust Liccardo to bring effective leadership to Washington. A recent poll from Lake Research Partners shows Liccardo leading his opponent Evan Low by a wide margin—11% in an initial ballot, and increasing to 12% when voters were presented with additional information on the candidates.
